Send your children to a catchment school that makes sense.
Uncontrolled housing development has meant primary and secondary school children lose out on their first preference schools. Recent statistics show that one in five secondary children in Telford and Wrekin missed out of their first choice of school. Parents are forced to transport their children outside of their catchment area.
A Conservative Council will review school catchment areas to make the process fairer for all.
Cutting £300,000 from the school transport budget, the current Labour administration has forced young children to make dangerous journeys along routes they have defined as a "Safer Route to School".
Conservatives will launch a review of designated safer routes and ensure there are adequate means for children to get to the school of their choice.
