Tom Wust is an experienced Conservative campaigner, and first joined the Conservative Party back in 2016. Serving as a councillor for his home parish of Hollinswood & Randlay between 2019 and 2023, he is regarded locally for his hard work and commitment to the community. Tom also works locally, managing a business in Halesfield that makes products to help visually impaired and blind people be safe.
As well as being a campaigner, Tom is also a classical and jazz musician, specialising in clarinet and saxophone. He has performed twice at the Royal Albert Hall, as well as touring the UK and Europe. He would often perform locally for free, raising money for local charities including Rotary, Lions, and various churches and schools.
Within the Conservative Party, Tom currently serves as Area Deputy Chairman for Shropshire & Herefordshire, and is responsible for political and campaigning matters across the two counties. As recognition for his work, he was invited to visit 10 Downing Street by former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in January 2024, and personally recognised by the Party Chairman. Tom also serves on the Executive Council for Telford Conservatives, bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience to local meetings.
Like all local Conservatives, Tom wants to see more Conservative councillors elected to Telford & Wrekin Council to give fairer representation and hold Labour to account in the chamber. If you would like to get involved in any capacity, he would be delighted to hear from you. You can email him directly on [email protected], or contact [email protected].
